Edward Bass is one of the most respected film producers who used to be the President of the American Foundation for the Performing Arts. He has a broad experience in the entertainment industry since he started his career as a member of production team for stage concerts and musical plays. He also used to manage talents in the film industry. Aside from that, he also handled non-show business talents like ballerinas and boxers. Among his most successful talents was Julio Caesar Chavez, who became the highest paid super middleweight boxer in sports history, through his efforts.

 

Later on, Bass founded a modeling agency in Paris and then served as a director of a racetrack in Europe where more than 350 employees were under him. He was also credited for the success of the collaboration of various music artists in the tribute made for the late John Gary. He produced an event to orchestrate a public appearance between Ronald Reagan and a young HIV-victim, Ryan White. Through that event, various movements to seek for solutions against AIDS came to the scene. In addition, Bass also established the “Toyskis for Totskis” program intended for little kids taken care of various orphanages in different parts of Russia.

 

On the other hand, Bass has also continued his passion for producing quality movies that will reflect the realities in the present society. That is why he founded his own First Line Entertainment Company, the Edward Bass Films. Since its establishment, this filmmaking company has received great remarks in the indie films production. Included to Bass’ most memorable and award-winning produced films are “While She Was Out”, Mini’s First Time”, “Bobby”, “Slingshot”, “The Killing Jar”, “Come Early Morning”, and “As Good as Dead”. Also, the company is now preparing its production staff for its upcoming movies like “The Hunt”, “Chlorine”, “Ponzi”, and “Belle”.

 

The tremendous success of each of the movies produced and co-produced by Edward Bass can be attributed to his incomparable artistry and passion for excellence at all times. This explains why many of his fellow filmmaking experts have considered him a good example in the industry. Likewise, he has also served as an inspiration to aspiring film producers and directors, especially in the world of indie films.
